It's also a bright contrast to the performance levels reflected among the rest of the state's Black student population, which is ranked lowest in performance levels among all of California."
We have worked hard to live into the legacy of our founder, Raymond Wilder, and his vision to deliver an excellent education to our families and the larger Inglewood community. It feels good to have that hard work acknowledged.
It's doubly great to stand in affirmation of what the late great Ron Edmonds said about educating Black children: "We can, whenever and wherever we choose, successfully teach all children whose schooling is of interest to us. We already know more than we need to know in order to do that. Whether or not we do it must finally depend on how we feel about the fact we haven't so far.”
